My daughter, my grandson and I try to take a vacation together
at least once a year.
We leave Dad at work and home and venture out on our own.
So...this spring, we decided to visit my cousins,
Jim and Mary, at their beautiful home in
in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This picture was taken last Fall, from the lake they live on.
Beautiful Native American rugs add special warmth to the interior decor!

Hawthorne the Goose is in the middle of the lake!
He refused to fly away with the rest of the geese
and now abides alone and happy!
One of my grandson's favorite things to do was...
wade in the creek!
AND...FISH!

She is famous for her painted gourds!

My grandson wanted to paint a gourd
and chose a penquin shaped one.
Cousin Mary agreed to show him how!

AND A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!
WE'RE THINKING OF RETURNING IN THE FALL...
IF THEY WILL HAVE US BACK!
